HCC is owned and operated by me, Teala, out of our home in the Texas Hill Country. I have had a love for textiles for many years, dating back to my Textiles and Clothing Construction courses at Texas Woman’s University. I spent many years in the business world as an accountant and have now settled down for “the good life”– travelling internationally with my husband, playing with my 4 grandchildren, and sewing. I love making simple patterned quilts that highlight today’s beautiful prints that so many great designers have made available to us as quilters and seamstresses.

Contributing to the success of HCC is my artsy daughter Lindsey. Lindsey is also our tech guru and “social media expert.” Her interest in quilting started in 2011 when she and her grandmother made a king-sized quilt for her groom as a wedding gift. Since that time, Lindsey completed her Masters degree in Information Systems and spends her time raising her 1-year-old future quilter, traveling with her husband, and designing custom quilts.

Our love of fabrics and quilting would not be complete without my mom, Shirley (aka, G-ma). Mom made all of my clothes growing up while working full-time AND cooking three meals a day– without the luxury of a microwave, convection oven, or dishwasher. Over the years she has made many quilts and is now our go-to guru for technique.

When our 3 generations get together, we have a blast experimenting with fabrics, laughing, eating, and playing Bananagrams!
